Matthew specialises in resolving complex tax disputes across all the main UK taxes. He has over 15 years’ experience acting for corporate and individual clients in high-value disputes with HMRC, conducting litigation in the tax tribunal and higher courts and negotiating settlements with HMRC. Matthew’s recent work includes agreed settlement on major transfer pricing and intra-group financing disputes, successful appeals against CGT on business disposals and resolving complex VAT disputes affecting a range of Fintech companies.
