Weightmans LLP · Emmett joined Weightmans in 2005 and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Until October 2018 Emmett specialised in all aspects of motor fraud. He also held various management roles and provided training to clients. Emmett has represented major UK insurers, national and international logistics, transport and utility companies and local authorities. He also has experience in sanctions and recoveries, non-fraudulent personal injury, local authority and motor claims. In terms of motor fraud, Emmett has extensive skills in claim investigation, all aspects of litigation to trial and dealing with organised fraud. He delivers an excellent experience for clients at the transactional and operational levels. Emmett is now a professional support lawyer in the Knowledge Management team based in Liverpool. Emmett supports all sectors of the business but primarily focuses on casualty, healthcare and motor sectors where he provides support in respect of continuing development, legal knowledge and process enhancement. Emmett has extensive experience in supporting business optimisation, technological innovation, and internal risk management. He has a particular interest and involvement in building business resiliency in response to court digitisation and the introduction of the MyHMCTS platform.
