
Matthew Lavelle
Matthew is a Senior Associate in our employment team. A sports law specialist with a particular focus on football law, Matthew supports clubs, players and agents in relation to their regulatory obligations and rights. Matthew drafts a variety of commercial agreements relating to sponsorship, image rights, agency representation contracts and domestic and international transfers. He also advises managers, coaches and players on exit arrangements. Matthew further advises on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters and provides general HR support including drafting contracts of employment, service agreements and policy documentation. He also works with employers to defend tribunal claims relating to employment disputes, such as unfair dismissal and discrimination. With experience in sports-related dispute resolution, Matthew regularly represents clients in FA Rule K arbitration proceedings, Regulatory Commission hearings and matters before FIFA, helping clients to achieve out of court settlements. · Brabners LLP
