Haya AlKhalifa is Principal and founding partner of Haya Rashed Al Khalifa Attorneys at Law & Legal Consultants in Bahrain with a long career in litigation, arbitration and public service. She was one of the first two women admitted to practice in Bahrain (1979), served as Bahrain's Ambassador to France (2000–2004) and non-resident Ambassador to Belgium, Switzerland and Spain, and served as President of the 61st session of the United Nations General Assembly (closed September 2007).
