Ankita's practice covers a wide range of intellectual property and regulatory matters. Ankita provides strategic advice to clients on the protection of their intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial designs, and trade secrets. She frequently assists with commercial and M&A transactions involving intellectual property assets, and drafts agreements relating to the development, licensing and transfer of intellectual property. Ankita also has experience litigating intellectual property disputes. As a Trademark Agent, Ankita advises on the registrability of trademarks, and files and prosecutes trademark applications in Canada. On the regulatory side, Ankita helps clients with marketing, advertising, contests, and other promotions, including arrangements involving social media influencers. In addition, she has experience with access-to-information and freedom-of-information requests, as well as compliance regimes in a variety of areas, such as food and health care.
