Daniel’s legal practice is focused on project development and negotiating agreements between project proponents and Indigenous communities in the mining and energy industries, Aboriginal law and environmental law. Daniel has extensive experience advising domestic and international companies on permitting and environmental law, sustainability strategies and agreements with project stakeholders. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Daniel held various senior roles in the environmental and sustainability departments of an international mining company, where he gained extensive experience negotiating with Indigenous groups in Canada and throughout the Americas.
