Advises employers on a broad range of provincial and federal workplace issues relating to labour, employment, human rights, privacy and immigration law. Regularly advises US, UK, Australian, Chinese and other offshore clients in connection with establishing business operations in British Columbia. Also advises on and negotiates labour and employment issues in corporate mergers, acquisitions and outsourcing, including executive employment agreements. Regularly represents management in collective bargaining, negotiations, investigations, mediations, arbitrations, administrative hearings and in court. Appeared as counsel in matters before all levels of court in British Columbia, the BC Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the BC Employment Standards Tribunal, the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal and provincial and federal grievance arbitration panels.
