Sean Jackson

Sean’s practice is primarily focused on intellectual property litigation where he represents clients from a range of industries, such as pharmaceuticals, medical products, oil and gas, and telecommunications. Sean regularly advises and represents clients from the pharmaceutical industry in proceedings under the Patented Medicines Notice of Compliance Regulations (PM(NOC) Regulations). He has appeared before the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal and was part of a trial team that secured a damages award exceeding C$120-million. Whether asserting IP rights or defending against allegations of infringement, Sean takes pride in using his Ph.D. in biochemistry to merge science and the law into creative solutions for his clients. · Cassels
