He is a former Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and a supreme court lawyer with over 30 years' experience in Kuwaiti and international law, with expertise in criminal, civil and administrative matters; he has served as a judge, parliamentarian (elected for three consecutive terms), minister and lecturer and is a member of the Kuwait Lawyers Association.
