
Yalçin Özge Okat
Managing Partner As the founder of Okat Law Firm, Yalçın Özge Okat has been practicing capital markets, banking and finance law for more than 25 years. He has been providing legal consultancy services in cross-border transactions, IPOs and various projects of domestic and foreign banks, brokerage houses, crypto asset exchanges, private equity firms, other financial institutions, and publicly traded companies. Mr. Okat worked at the Capital Markets Board for 13 years between 1997-2010 and at a major law firm for 10 years between 2011-2021. There, he served as the Capital Markets Team Leader for 6 years. Özge Okat graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1996 and from Northwestern University School of Law and Kellogg School of Management Law and Business Administration graduate program in 2007. In 2008, he completed the International Housing Finance and Securitization program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Özge Okat is the co-author of the book "Principles of Capital Markets Law" (2021) (with Vural Günal) and "Mutual Funds in Turkish and EU Law" (2019), as well as several articles on public companies, housing finance instruments, mergers and acquisitions and investment funds.
