Genevieve’s area of practice is financial services regulation. She advises financial institutions on the broad spectrum of Singapore financial regulatory rules and regulations and supports clients in securing the requisite approvals, authorisations or exemptions as well as ongoing compliance issues. She also advises generally on anti-money laundering/countering the financing of terrorism and data privacy matters. Prior to joining the Firm, she was a Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore where she oversaw complex white collar investigations and prosecutions, and worked closely with law enforcement agencies such as the Commercial Affairs Department and the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau. She also trained in commercial and criminal litigation in private practice where she represented clients in commercial disputes, advised clients on white collar investigations and conducted their defence in criminal proceedings. · Shook Lin & Bok LLP
