Valentinas Mikelenas

Prof. habil. dr. V. Mikelėnas is a partner and a former judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania, who has more than 30 years of legal experience. He was the head of the drafting group of the Civil Code and is one of the most prominent legal theorists and legal scholars in Lithuania. He is an expert in arbitration disputes, a member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, was a member of the study group of the European Civil Code, a member-expert of the European Family Law Commission, a founding member of the European Law Institute and an ICSID arbitrator. His significant experience also includes membership in the International Association of Procedural Law (IAPL), the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and the International Arbitration Institute (IAI).
