
Paulius Zapolskis
Dr. Paulius Zapolskis is a Partner, Attorney at Law, and Head of the Energy Industry Group. He is a leading expert in energy law, advising both public and private sector clients on complex regulatory, commercial, and transactional matters. Paulius has deep expertise in oil and gas, including LNG supply and terminal operations, as well as renewable energy projects such as hybrid (wind and solar), storage, waste-to-energy, and biofuel developments. His work includes structuring long-term supply contracts and guiding clients through project development and regulatory compliance. He played a key advisory role in the development of Lithuania’s first offshore wind park in the Baltic Sea, supporting the Ministry of Energy in shaping the legal framework. Paulius also contributed significantly to the successful implementation of the Baltic States’ long-awaited electricity grid synchronisation with continental Europe – the largest energy infrastructure project in the region to date. Paulius holds an LL.M. in European and Comparative Law from Ghent University and a doctoral degree in contract law, underpinning his legal practice with a solid academic foundation.
