Jason McMahon

Jason commenced employment with Hall and Wilcox in January 2009 and was appointed as a Partner on 1 January 2016. Jason acts for WorkSafe Victoria and its agents and employers. He is the relationship partner and manages lawyers acting on behalf of the TAC at the firm. Jason’s practice focuses on personal injury litigation management and administrative law. He predominantly manages Mildura and Bendigo common law and statutory benefits claims brought pursuant to the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic). Jason also has a well-developed and successful judicial review practice. Jason's contribution to the workers' compensation scheme was recognised when he was the recipient of Worksafe's inaugural 'Award for Excellence in Personal Injury Management' in 2010. Jason has also been recognised in The Best Lawyers in Australia in Personal Injury Litigation every year since 2020 and is a recommended Workers' Compensation (Defendant) lawyer in Victoria in Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession. Prior to joining Hall & Wilcox, Jason worked in a number of roles at the TAC and TAC Law from 1998 and later WorkSafe Victoria in 2004.
