Martim Valente is Senior Counsel in PLMJ's EU and Competition law practice with over 15 years' experience advising on anti‑cartel and abuse of dominance proceedings, merger control and the implementation of compliance programmes. Prior to joining PLMJ he was Legal Director at the UK's Competition and Markets Authority, worked at Cleary Gottlieb (Brussels) and Freshfields (London), and spent six months on secondment to Google's competition team.
