Mateo Verdías is an associate in Cuatrecasas’ International Arbitration team who represents investors and sovereign states in commercial and investment arbitrations across sectors including mining, energy, oil & gas, technology and construction. He is admitted to practice in the Eastern Republic of Uruguay and in the State of New York, and has prior experience at Sullivan & Cromwell (New York), the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Dechert (Paris) and a Latin American regional firm; he has also published books and won the 2022 Young ITA Writing Competition.
