Benoît Merkt is Managing Partner and Head of Competition at Lenz & Staehelin in Switzerland, specialising in competition law, public procurement, regulated markets, internal investigations and litigation. He served in the Secretariat of the Swiss Competition Commission (1998), joined Lenz & Staehelin in 1999 and became partner in 2006; he holds degrees from the University of Neuchâtel and a Master in European and Comparative Law from the University of Oxford.
