
Markus Wellinger
Partner Markus Wellinger focuses on competition and regulatory issues. Markus represents clients before the EU and national courts (both in Belgium and other countries), the European Commission and several Member States’ national competition authorities. He also assists clients with commercial arbitration under the AAA, ICC and UNCITRAL rules, in various complex commercial disputes. Markus’ experience includes assisting clients in merger control cases (securing merger antitrust clearance from more than 30 competition authorities within and outside the EU), compliance programmes and cartel investigations, strategic alliances and other commercial arrangements (such as distribution, R&D and technology licensing), abuses of dominance and EU State aid rules. Markus also regularly provides clients with advice on EU regulatory issues including technical, health and environmental regulations and standards, consumer protection and safety.
