Joris Rijken is a partner at AKD, an attorney-at-law and a non-practising physician who specialises in contracting and regulating healthcare. He advises healthcare providers on care procurement, inspections and interactions with regulators (NZa, IGJ, Zorginstituut), and on the regulation of body material and medical scientific research; he is a regular lecturer (including the Grotius specialist post‑academic course in healthcare law) and a member of the Health Council of the Netherlands.
