Maarten Schut is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Media practice at Kennedy Van der Laan, advising and litigating for brands (notably in sports, fashion and technology) on trademark, anti-counterfeiting and technology protection matters. He also advises high-tech companies on R&D collaborations, licences and know‑how protection; he is a former public prosecutor and judge, editor of the journal Farmarecht and a deputy judge at the Court of Appeal in Leeuwarden.
