
Alexia Faes
Alexia Faes is Counsel in the Real Estate department at Simont Braun, with 10 years of experience. She has developed extensive expertise in real estate and construction law, with a particular focus on property rights, leases and public procurement. Her practice includes advising and representing both (inter)national clients—such as public authorities, real estate developers, construction companies, architects, and engineering firms—in a broad range of complex and often technical disputes. Since 2022, Alexia has been an accredited mediator in civil and commercial matters by the Federal Mediation Commission. She is an active member of the Special Construction Commission and takes part in several initiatives promoting alternative dispute resolution, including the “Chambre de règlement amiable (CRA)” of the Tribunal de l’Entreprise francophone de Bruxelles and the bMediation platform. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Belgian Construction Law Association. Alexia obtained her Master of Laws from Ghent University in 2014, during which she spent a year at Università degli studi Roma Tre (Italy) through the Erasmus exchange programme.
