He is frequently chosen as a party-appointed arbitrator and chairman of international arbitrations. His experience extends to proceedings under the ICC Rules, Swiss Rules, LCIA Rules, SIAC Rules, rules of other institutions, ad hoc and investment arbitrations. Bernhard holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (2001) as well as a Ph.D. (2000) and a law degree (1997) from the University of Berne. He is admitted to the Swiss Bar (1997).
