He served as general director of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) from January 2013 to November 2018, was president of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI, 2009–2012), and has held leadership roles in APEC, WIPO and industry bodies including AmCham, INTA and ASIPI.
