By working in this way, he prevents problems in his corporate law practice and resolves complex legal issues. Michiel advises and litigates on various issues in the areas of company law and corporate governance. His expertise ranges from corporate advisory and corporate law to insolvency law and financing and securities. This allows him to guide clients through complex decision-making processes and provide support in disputes and preventing them. In addition, he has been a court-appointed bankruptcy trustee for many years. Michiel is a partner, having worked at Boels Zanders since 2007. He is particularly experienced with the Education, Healthcare and Real Estate (housing associations) sectors. He is also a confidential counsellor and development coach and supervises several trainee lawyer and juniors. Michiel studied Dutch Law at Maastricht University. He completed the specialisation programme in Insolvency Law (cum laude) and the INSOLAD/EUR specialisation programme in Financial Economics for Insolvency Law Practitioners, as well as the Magna Charta Specialisation Course in Company Law. He is a member of INSOLAD, the specialist association for Insolvency Law practitioners. Michiel is also the president of Lions Club Ambt Born and a member of Young Management.
