Martin Pichler is Founding Partner at AKELA, specialising in capital markets, insurance, banking and securities regulatory law with a focus on regulatory and compliance matters, anti‑money laundering and risk management. He has lectured since 2017 on the Executive LL.M. in Banking and Financial Market Law at the University of Liechtenstein, was appointed General Counsel of the Professional Association of Austrian Financial Service Providers at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in January 2023, and chairs the AML Compliance Working Group of the European Association of Payment Service Providers for Merchants (EPSM).
