David is the Managing Partner of the Hong Kong and Shanghai offices and Local Corporate Group Head at Appleby and also heads Asia Private Equity, M&A and Corporate Restructuring. He has been named Cayman Islands “Merger and Acquisitions Lawyer of the Year” for three consecutive years after completing transactions with an aggregate value in excess of USD100 billion, advises clients including Ascendent Capital Partners, Benchmark Asia, Celadon Partners, Goldman Sachs, MUFG, SoftBank Group Corp. and SoftBank Vision Fund, and has extensive experience advising on offshore restructurings including mandates relating to offshore bonds of Chinese real estate developers and major Cayman restructurings in the offshore oil and gas sector.
