Vicky is a Senior Associate at Baker & Partners, with a particular focus on complex trusts, civil and commercial disputes. As an Advocate of the High Court in South Africa and barrister in England and Wales with Lincoln’s Inn (currently non practicing), she has more than a decade’s experience in high value commercial and civil disputes acting for corporations, individuals, and as an internationally qualified mediator and arbitrator. Vicky also often acts on behalf of protectors, trustees, and beneficiaries in complex multi-jurisdictional international trust litigation, involving trust restructuring, allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and mismanagement and various other administrative actions. Before moving to the Channel Islands, her practice in South Africa included regularly appearing in employment tribunals, acting as a court-appointed legal representative for children and high net-worth contentious matrimonial disputes, advising and acting in cross-border international family law matters and representing clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
