Senior partner at Arrieta Mantilla & Asociados, he acts as counsel in arbitration courts and judicial proceedings and advises public and private entities on public contracting, public–private partnership (PPP) contracts, concession contracts, project financing and financial closings for infrastructure projects. He previously worked at Ecopetrol S.A. structuring gas pipelines, was Vice‑President of Infrastructure Projects at Corporación Financiera del Valle (CORFIVALLE) (1995–1996), served on the board of Fiduciaria Colombiana de Comercio Exterior S.A., was Director of the National Road Institute (INVIAS) from 1999 to March 2000, and has taught PPP contracts at Universidad de los Andes.
