Prior to joining Bustamante & Bustmante he acted as Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel of Corporación Financiera Nacional, a public sector financial entity. He also acted as a member of the board of directors of some private financial institutions. He has provided legal services to local and foreign financial institutions and multilateral entities in financing transactions with public and private sector entities. Since 1993 he is an arbitrator of the arbitration tribunals of the Quito Chamber of Commerce.
