Partner at Pérez Bustamante & Ponce since July 2021, Esteban Ortiz specializes in corporate affairs with expertise in corporate law, bankruptcy, corporate governance and new corporate forms. He has worked on legislative drafting to introduce Simplified Stock Corporations and Collective Interest and Benefit Companies, contributed to modernization of companies law and the Ecuadorian Standards for Good Corporate Governance, and served as Companies Director for Quito at the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance (2018–2021).
