Partner and co-head of Hughes & Hughes' Dispute Resolution Department, Bernardo Porras specialises in dispute resolution, asset recovery, insolvency and restructuring, arbitration, administrative law, public-private projects and banking law. He joined Hughes & Hughes in 1997, was admitted to the Uruguayan bar in 2000 and became partner in 2008; he is a professor of Administrative Law at Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay and has notable experience advising on bank liquidations, transnational litigation and asset recovery for victims of financial fraud.
