Juan Carlos Tristán is a Partner at BLP in San José, Costa Rica, with a practice focused on Compliance & Anticorruption, Corporate / M&A, Real Estate & Hospitality, Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management. He advises local and transnational companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and day-to-day corporate matters, has led the structuring, financing and transactions for major real estate and hospitality projects in Costa Rica, and has extensive experience conducting internal investigations, trainings and implementing ethics and anti-corruption programs across Central America and Mexico consistent with international standards and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; he currently serves as President of the Anticorruption Commission of the Costa Rican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce and holds leadership roles in several compliance organizations.
