Andrés joined Galicia in 2015 as an associate in the Customs & International Trade practice. Since 2022, he leads this practice in the Monterrey office. He has over 14 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on import and export operations, developing legal strategies and applying the regulatory framework of international treaties in Mexico. He specializes in nearshoring projects, developing and maximizing opportunities for foreign trade operations. Andrés has ample experience advising clients on their e-commerce operations within Mexico and on international trade related to M&A, energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects. He also has expertise in representing domestic and foreign clients in nullity trials and protection claims arising from customs and import operations, achieving extremely favorable results. From 2010 to 2015 and before joining Galicia, he collaborated at a renowned Mexican law firm as a senior associate in the foreign trade practice.
