He began his career in public environmental bodies (Special Decontamination Commission, 1991; later roles at CONAMA as Technical Secretary, Prosecutor and Director of the Metropolitan Region), formed the law firm VGC Abogados in 2005, and has been a professor of Environmental Law at the Universidad de Chile since 1998.
