Managing Partner of MdME and head of the firm's Corporate and M&A practice, Rui specializes in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, advising corporations, financial institutions and private equity firms on cross-border and domestic transactions and on capital markets matters including IPOs of Macau interests on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He also leads the firm's gaming practice—advising casino operators, sports betting companies, technology providers, gaming investors and governments on commercial and regulatory matters—and sits on the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA).
