Abigail is a partner in the firm’s film and television group. Abigail provides expert advice on all aspects of film and television development, production, financing and distribution. She is particularly renowned for her expertise in structuring international co-productions and providing advice on international subsidies and tax credits as well as other financing structures. She advises clients from across the industry, including film and television funds, television platforms, banks, studios, completion guarantors, leading producers, distributors, talent agents, literary estates and other underlying rights holders. Abigail works closely with Indies, supported by the firm’s close relationship with Indielab, an accelerator for companies in the film, television, animation and games sectors. She, alongside numerous others in the firm, provides companies and individuals in its cohort with a range of free advice, including in relation to the film and television industry as well as issues with fundraising and financing. Abigail is a member of BAFTA and Women in Film and Television. She was also awarded The Legal 500’s ‘Technology, Media and Telecoms Lawyer of the Year (London)’ in 2019.

Abigail graduated in medicine from Cambridge University in 2005 and completed her Legal Practice Certificate with CILEx Law School thereafter. With a solid background in both medicine and law, Abigail brings valuable insights to handling medical negligence claims. She specialises in cases on behalf of children affected by cerebral palsy. She is passionate about enhancing the quality of life of differently-abled children and wrote our Cerebral Palsy Guide as a practical guide for families. She also set up the Little Champions page on Instagram which celebrates the courage of children living with a brain injury. Abigail manages all new birth injury cases which have resulted in a brain injury to the baby. With a solid background in both medicine and law, Abigail brings valuable insights to handling medical negligence claims. She specialises in complex and high value birth injury claims and works closely with partner Kerstin Scheel.

Abram Ellis is a Litigation Partner in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office who is recognized as a “Rising Star” and “Next Generation Partner” in antitrust litigation and cartels. His antitrust practice comprises all aspects of competition law, from defending clients against complex class action antitrust litigation to helping clients obtain regulatory clearance from domestic and international competition authorities for significant transactions. Abram is particularly experienced in antitrust litigation involving complex financial instruments, the healthcare industry and employment issues. In addition to his robust antitrust practice, Abram advises clients on a range of litigation and regulatory matters. As Co-Head of the Firm’s International Trade Regulation Practice, he advises leading private equity funds, financial institutions and major corporations on regulatory and compliance matters relating to cross-border activities, including with respect to tariffs, anti-money laundering, OFAC, FCPA, the Outbound Investment Rule, the DOJ’s Data Security Program and export matters. Recent representations include: RPM International and the Euclid Chemical Company in winning the dismissal of an antitrust class action; JPMorgan in summary judgement in a LIBOR lawsuit; and separately, JPMorgan in obtaining the Ninth Circuit’s affirmance of dismissal in an ICE LIBOR lawsuit against several major banks, which was named “Litigation of the Year – Cartel Defense” at GCR Awards 2025; and Change Healthcare in its $13.8 billion acquisition by UnitedHealth Group, which was named “Merger Control Matter of the Year – Americas” at Global Competition Review’s GCR Awards 2023.
