He advises financial institutions and other clients on Jersey's financial services and anti-money laundering regulatory framework, including as applicable to banking, investment business, trust company business, insurance business and money service business. He also regularly advises clients on the applicability of Jersey's proceeds of crime legislation, including in relation to business that is not otherwise regulated as financial services. Tom Hugo Ottesen Heads Kvale’s restructuring, insolvency and investigation team. He has particular experience in (re)financing, credit security, credit recovery, insolvency and restructuring of hard pressed companies. He is also an experienced arbitrator and is occasionally appointed as arbitrator in insolvency-related disputes. Ottesen is frequently appointed as bankruptcy administrator by Oslo Bankruptcy Court and is appointed as administrator in a number of the largest bankruptcies in Norway each year. Tom Jackman

Tom advises both employers and trustees, with a particular focus on transactions and other projects affecting pension schemes. He has extensive experience of advising on the pensions-related aspects of corporate transactions and has a special interest in the management of section 75 liabilities. This extends to insolvency and restructuring work, where recent high-profile projects include advising the trustees of various schemes within a major facility management company, and advising in relation to a solvent restructuring of an engineering company’s pension liabilities. Tomasz Trocki, PhD, is a partner at Dentons in Poland, where he leads the Consensual Restructuring team. He specializes in financial, restructuring and bankruptcy law. With a wealth of experience in major debt restructuring transactions on the Polish market, Tomasz is highly regarded for his advice on complex restructuring matters. He is well-versed in financing transactions, including leveraged and project finance, as well as refinancing. Tomasz authored numerous publications in restructuring and bankruptcy law, in addition to other civil law issues related to consensual restructuring. In his PhD thesis, titled “The impact of bankruptcy and the opening of restructuring proceedings on the admissibility of statutory and contractual set-off", he delved into the complexities of bankruptcy and restructuring law. In 2020 he completed the LEAD program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Tomasz Zwoliński

Tomasz Zwoliński is a partner in Dentons’ Warsaw office and a member of the Banking and Finance practice team. He specializes in banking and finance transactions with particular focus on project finance, export finance (with or without official support from export credit agencies), financing of PPP projects, financing of infrastructure, energy, international trade and factoring, general corporate lending, leveraged/acquisition finance and financial restructuring. Tomasz has been engaged in key transactions financing Polish exports, highway construction in Poland and Ukraine, hotels and office buildings, as well as many industrial projects (some worth in excess of PLN 5 billion) service and residential developments.
