Adam Přerovský is a senior associate in Dentons’ Prague office. Adam is a member of the Competition, Life Science, IP/T and Commercial Law practice. He focuses his practice on all areas of competition and antitrust law, contract law and consumer protection, the life science/pharma industry, and intellectual property law and technology. Adam’s experience encompasses merger control proceedings before the European Commission, Czech and Slovak Competition Authorities, representing clients in antitrust proceedings and investigations including proceedings on cartels, abuse of dominance and significant market power, advising on state aid proceedings before the European Commission, as well as in cases of private enforcement of competition law. Adam also regularly advices our clients in competition law aspects of M&A, distribution, franchise, JV and other commercial matters. Adam has also experience in the pharmaceutical and life science sector, advising clients mostly on commercial and regulatory matters under both Czech and European law, including EU product regulation, clinical trials, pricing regulation, data privacy and supply agreements. Adam also regularly advises clients on various matters relating to intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights and industrial designs, and he represents clients before the Czech Industrial Property Office. Adriaan Craita specialises in Dutch and EU competition law. In addition, he advises on foreign direct investment (FDI) regimes. Within the competition practice, Adriaan has considerable experience in merger control. He advises and assists companies in obtaining approval for a merger or acquisition from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM), as well as from authorities that enforce investment regimes. Adriaan also coordinates such parallel notifications to authorities worldwide. In addition to merger control, Adriaan focuses on cartel investigations and stand-alone competition proceedings. He advises on the admissibility of distribution practices, joint ventures and abuse of dominance cases. Furthermore Adriaan's particular interest lies in the (regulatory) developments in the digital- and financial markets and in the field of competition and sustainability. Adriaan completed the LLM European Law at Leiden University in 2017. He wrote his thesis on whether passive investment strategies (in the form of Exchange Traded Funds) should be regulated under European competition law. In 2018 Adriaan joined Houthoff’s competition team in Amsterdam and also spent time at the Brussels office. During his Houthoff years he also worked within the real estate team, which gave him experience and insight into the commercial aspects of deal making. In 2020 Adriaan completed the Law Firm School in addition to the Vocational Training for Advocates of the Dutch Bar. Agnieszka Stefanowicz-Barańska is a partner in Dentons’ Warsaw office. She heads Dentons' Competition practice team in Poland. Since 1998, she has represented clients in numerous EU and Polish competition authority proceedings and before Polish courts, in cartel and other antitrust investigations. She has also assisted clients during dawn raids and in over 100 merger control proceedings, before both the European Commission and the Polish competition authority. She works with clients to design and implement their distribution networks and provides practical support to in-house teams in implementing antitrust compliance initiatives with, including risk-mapping and comprehensive antitrust audits. She has extensive experience in day-to-day advice to clients on abuse of dominance and horizontal cooperation issues, as well as antitrust issues related to M&A contracts. Agustín Perrino is a senior associate at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2017. He advises and represents sovereign governments, local and foreign companies on international trade regulations including – inter alia – trade remedies (anti-dumping, safeguards and countervailing duties), import licensing, trade sanctions, technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, rules of origin, tariff classification, trade facilitation, import and export tax regimes, and interpretation of free trade agreements. Aigoul Kenjebayeva is the Partner for Kazakhstan at Dentons. She has led the practice in Kazakhstan ever since, and also served as Central Asia Managing Partner from 1994 until 2022. Her particular areas of specialization, acquired from over 30 years as a practicing lawyer in Kazakhstan and 11 years as a researcher in the economics of law, include corporate/M&A, energy/natural resources, PPP/infrastructure projects, IP, competition law, and dispute resolution.
