- Frankfurt - Berlin Opened in 2008, the Frankfurt office has developed premier practices that benefit from the breadth of experience of more than 1,000 talented colleagues in the firm's offices in North America, Europe and Asia. Our Frankfurt-based lawyers represent sophisticated, high-profile clients in contentious IP, regulatory and antitrust matters, drawing on their close links with the firm's top-tier European Union Regulatory Group in Brussels. Another core strength of our office is resolving high-stakes disputes, focusing primarily on litigating and arbitrating matters that raise complex strategic, legal or factual issues and that are of high importance to our clients. The group has appeared numerous times at the European Court of Justice and the Federal Supreme Courts, and works closely with the firm’s premier Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. Lawyers in our Frankfurt office also conduct cross-border and domestic corporate and transactional work. Advising on and investigating compliance matters is another area of focus in our Germany-based offices and across the firm. Lawyers in our Frankfurt and Berlin offices are recognized as experienced leaders in this field by clients, prosecutors and other law firms. The firm's Big Data Practice is co-led out of the Frankfurt office and is closely integrated with WilmerHale’s other global practices.
