To deliver the best possible outcomes, they combine deep-rooted international sector expertise with an intimate understanding of the local Bahraini market. In 2024, Al Doseri Law and GLA & Company announced the formation of a strategic alliance in the Kingdom of Bahrain, strengthening the capabilities of both firms across the Middle East and North Africa. The partnership enables GLA & Company and Al Doseri Law to collaborate seamlessly on client matters - including on a conflict-free basis - facilitating the exchange of knowledge and resources between the two firms. Drawing on their combined experience across the MENA legal landscape, the alliance leverages the distinct strengths of each firm to deliver more comprehensive and well-resourced service to clients. Al Doseri Law advised, alongside strategic partner GLA & Company, on Al Ansari Financial Services’ USD 200 million acquisition of Bahrain Financing Company Group Holdings - among the most significant financial services transactions in the GCC in recent years. Advising on all Bahraini law aspects of the transaction, the firm played a pivotal role in its completion in April 2025 - a deal that cemented Al Ansari’s position as the Gulf’s largest non-banking financial institution by branch network and extended its footprint across Bahrain, Kuwait and India. Al Doseri Law was also involved in a landmark Court of Cassation ruling in Bahrain on 9 May 2024, successfully defending its client in a USD 18 million international commercial dispute conducted in English and governed by English law. In a precedent-setting decision, the Court of Cassation upheld the earlier Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution ruling issued in November 2023, confirming the application of English law and dismissing the appeal on the merits. As the first ruling of its kind in the Kingdom, the judgment reinforced Bahrain’s growing position as a key forum for complex cross-border disputes and further highlighted Al Doseri Law’s strength in handling high-value, multi-jurisdictional litigation.
