One of the world’s largest chemical producers, in Singapore High Court proceedings against an iron-ore trading company based in Singapore for breaches of various circle-out/wash-out agreements, in SIAC arbitration in Singapore. Former-head of a prominent private equity firm based in Southeast Asia in claims against the firm arising from the partnership agreement, in SIAC arbitration in Singapore. A Singapore businessman in protracted matrimonial proceedings commenced by the wife in 2010, involving cross-border elements, including child relocation, jurisdiction disputes, anti-suit injunction and the enforcement of an antenuptial agreement signed by the parties in New York, U.S.A. and governed by the laws of New York. Former-head of a prominent private equity firm based in Southeast Asia in claims against the firm arising from the partnership agreement. The dispute was heard in the SIAC and concerned issues of good faith, contractual interpretation, agency under Cayman Islands law and other common law jurisdictions. As litigation counsel, Edmund is actively engaged in trial and appellate advocacy predominantly in Singapore’s High Court and Court of Appeal. He has also been instructed by other solicitors to act as Counsel. Edmund has argued against a variety of Senior Counsel in trials and other hearings, and against Queen's Counsel, successfully, in an appeal before the Singapore High Court in July 2012. He is privileged to be an invited Honorary Overseas Member of both COMBAR (Commercial Bar Association), England and the Chancery Bar Association, England, as well as an active member of the IADC (International Association of Defense Counsel), headquartered in Chicago.
