About
- Who we are The Law Firm Babić, Brborović & Partners plc. is a perfect example of a young, bustling law firm sprouting in an ever more dynamic Croatian legal market and challenging the status quo as per the general trend in Croatia. It was established in 2018 as the legal successor of the Law Office of Siniša Babić by the Firm’s current managing partners – Mr Siniša Babić and Ms Tamara Brborović. Our team consists of young lawyers who have already achieved extraordinary results both in legal theory as well as in practice and who all have multiple years of experience in legal counselling; each bringing their own share of both legal and business acumen to the table. The members of our team are highly proficient in business English, and regularly publish professional papers in the areas of commercial, civil and employment law. - What we do The firm specialises in the areas of commercial law (contractual and statutory law), civil law, and employment law, as well as in representing parties in civil litigation and administrative proceedings. The firm represents and offers legal counselling primarily to legal entities established both in Croatia and abroad. What sets Babić, Brborović & partners plc. apart from other similar law firms is the full commitment of its entire office in all legal matters. Our business credo is to be proactive and to dedicate ourselves relentlessly to the legal matters and issues of our clients, until we find the most suitable and best solution. And all the lawyers in the firm are participating in that quest with their knowledge and experience. The Law Firm Babić, Brborović & Partners plc. has been established based on the successful cooperation with the clients. The firm has had quite an eventful year in multiple practice areas: banking and finance, employment, dispute resolution, commercial, corporate and M&A. In terms of banking, finance and capital markets practice, the firm has continued to provide legal support to the bank Karlovačka banka jsc., as its long-lasting client. The firm managed to resolve two extremely significant and large cases – one of them with successful negotiations with the County Attorney’s Office, resulting in reducing the amount of debt that the Bank was obliged to pay under a bank guarantee by 82.20% which undoubtedly maximally protected the position of the bank, but also of the recourse debtor. Furthermore, the firm continued to gain favourable decisions for its clients with the decision in the highly complex proceedings for determining the nullity of the decision of the general assembly of a bank on the increase of the share capital. The firm obtained the entry of the said decision in the court register, in accordance with Article 366a of the Croatian Companies Act, allowing for the proceedings of the share capital increase of a bank in the amount of €5,3m to be completed. Furthermore, the firm participates, provides legal services and prepares all the documentation necessary for the implementation of the project of the local self-government unit – Grad Sisak (City of Sisak), whose goal is to establish a Shared Services Centre in order to rationalise services and activities that are not core businesses of the city’s subsidiaries established to provide public services. In terms of commercial, corporate, and M&A areas, the firm most notably advised the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences on multiple occasions regarding the establishment of its Scientific Foundation. The firm provided legal support with the preparation of all the necessary documentation and coordinated and otherwise facilitated all the legal procedures aimed at the establishment of the Foundation. The firm provides legal services on a daily basis to multiple other corporate clients: Siemens Healthcare Ltd., Tissa Ltd., Croatian Standards Institute, Zepter Zest Ltd., HOO TV Ltd., Callidus – adult education institution and others, providing legal support in their everyday operations and issues, such as: statutory issues (company assembly, business decisions, court register, legal relationship between shareholders, supervisory board and management, liability, damages, etc.) and resolving legal issues and relations in different types of legal matters. All of the firm’s previous clients have been extremely satisfied with our work, which we have always tried to perform with exceptional speed and professionalism, to which external associates and our previous experiences, both domestic and foreign, have greatly contributed. ### Languages - Croatian - English ### Staffing Figures - 4 Law Trainee
