Raquel Fernández Menéndez is a Senior Associate at Hogan Lovells Spain, based in Spain. With over 9 years of experience, she advises multinational and local companies on Spanish and EU competition law, including merger control, internal audits, state aid proceedings, cartel and abuse of dominant position investigations, and antitrust proceedings before the European Commission, the Spanish Competition Authority, and national courts. She also handles multi-jurisdictional foreign direct investment assessments, compliance audits, FDI filings in Spain, and competition law compliance programs, as well as representing clients in damages claims from competition law infringements. She holds a Double Master’s Degree in Legal Practice and European Union Law from Carlos III University and ISDE School of Legal Practice in Madrid, and is a professor at the Graduate School of Law of Carlos III University of Madrid. She contributes to competition law publications and working groups.
