
Jaap Bremer
The focus of Jaap’s practice is litigation in disputes concerning infringement and validity of patents and other intellectual property rights, in particular for clients from the pharma and biotech, nutrition and consumer products industries. Jaap has acted before various courts and tribunals and the Supreme Court, as well as before the European Patent Office, the EUIPO and the Advertising Code Committee. Jaap is also a UPC representative and therefore authorised to litigate before the Unified Patent Court. Jaap also advises on the protection of trade secrets and the strategic use and exploitation of IP rights, and he assists in drafting and negotiating cooperation/joint development and R&D agreements and licensing contracts, among others.
