
Paul Breithaupt
Paul Breithaupt is a lawyer in the field of European and Dutch competition law and sector-specific regulation. Paul regularly assists companies in obtaining approval for mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures from the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) en the Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM). Examples of cases Paul has recently worked on include: A procedure at the highest administrative court (CBb) against a national regulator concerning the publication of a market study; Advising on the licensing process at the Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA); Supervising mergers in the building sector, the IT services market en the temporary employment sector; Providing competition law advice to companies in various sectors, including the temporary employment sector and healthcare sector. Paul was admitted tot the Dutch Bar in February 2022 and started his career at Maverick Advocaten in 2019 as a paralegal and junior associate. In 2020 Paul obtained his master’s degree in European Law (cum laude) at Utrecht University. His thesis on the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) was awarded with a 9/10.
