
Judith Jansen
Judith Jansen is a lawyer in the field of European and Dutch competition law and sector-specific regulation. Judith specialises in administrative law topics, such as penalty payments, administrative fines, damage, compensation for loss and EU law issues. She assists companies in legal disputes with public authorities such as The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) and the Netherlands State. Judith also advises companies on various food law topics, such as sustainability, recalls, food safety and labelling. In addition, Judith has experience with various aspects of competition law. She advises companies on matters relating to the prohibition of abuse of dominance, unlawful vertical agreements, exchange of competitively sensitive information and legal enforcement by the European Commission and the Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM). Judith was admitted to the Dutch Bar in February 2019 and joined Maverick Advocaten in August 2023. Previously she worked at another law firm where she focused on competition law and food safety. In 2018 Judith obtained her Master’s degree in European Law at Leiden University. During her studies, Judith did several internships at law firms and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2022 Judith completed the Vocational Training for Advocates of the Dutch Bar and in 2023 she successfully completed the post-academic specialisation course in competition law at the Grotius Academy.
