Saad Al Doseri photo

Saad Al Doseri

Saad Al Doseri is the founding partner of Al Doseri Law, the firm he established in 2018 that has become one of Bahrain’s leading dispute resolution practices. He brings over a decade of experience advising multinational corporations, financial institutions and private clients on cross-border investments, high-value commercial disputes, civil litigation, white-collar criminal defence and strategic employment matters. Under his leadership, the firm is recognized for innovative advocacy and commercially focused outcomes in banking and finance, complex litigation, international arbitration, corporate and commercial law, and employment disputes. His clients include corporate and investment banking institutions, family-owned businesses, and international corporate clients operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Clients praise his ability to communicate complex legal proceedings effectively in both Arabic and English. Saad prides himself with responding to all client matters with urgency, accuracy and with the experience clients need to guide them through a crisis when it strikes. He is a frequent speaker at events, sharing his thought leadership on the latest updates and developments to Bahrain’s legal system and courts. Notably, Saad spoke recently at the Bahrain Business Law Forum 2024, where Al Doseri Law also sponsored, discussing Bahrain’s rapidly changing dispute resolution landscape, the Kingdom’s new “English-Friendly” commercial court, the evolution of arbitration as a method of dispute resolution and the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitration awards. In May 2025, he secured a decisive victory in the Kingdom’s first international commercial dispute conducted entirely in English, a landmark case that has shaped Bahrain’s approach to international commercial litigation. Saad also acts as counsel in arbitration disputes before the ICC, GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre and the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR). He is often appointed in multi-million-dollar disputes, with leading law firms routinely instructing Saad and his team on complex mandates requiring deep knowledge of the Bahraini courts and business environment. His practice spans all judicial levels in Bahrain, including regular appearances before the Court of Cassation and the Constitutional Court, with a strong track record in recovering substantial assets. He is often called upon to act as a mediator in disputes that wish to avoid lengthy court proceedings. Prior to founding Al Doseri Law in 2018, Saad gained significant legal experience at other law firms in Bahrain, including Haya Rashed Al-Khalifa and Al Tamimi & Company, successfully assisting with the launch and growth of the latter firm in Bahrain in 2014. Before qualifying as a lawyer, Saad served for ten years as a Captain in the Bahrain Defence Force, and draws upon his rich experience from the military and the law to spearhead the development and growth of Al Doseri Law. Saad has authored several guides on pertinent legal issues. His publications include lead authorship of the Bahrain chapter in the Delos Guide to Arbitration Places (GAP) 2024, principal contribution to the Bahrain chapter of the Global Legal Insights: Litigation & Dispute Resolution Guide 2022, and authorship of the Bahrain chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guides: International Arbitration 2021. He is also a regular presenter at seminars hosted by the University of Bahrain and the British Bahrain Business Forum (BBBF), and speaks on many aspects of dispute resolution in Bahrain and more generally on the laws of Bahrain from a practical perspective. Saad is also an instructor at the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI) in Bahrain. Saad in 2026, successfully completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law at the University of Liverpool, UK. His dissertation, “𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘉𝘢𝘩𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯’𝘴 𝘉𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴: 𝘈 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘺 𝘌𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘚𝘋𝘚 𝘔𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘮𝘴,” delivers a comparative legal analysis of six key BITs concluded by Bahrain with the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, China, Russia, and Iran, reflecting distinct eras and legal traditions in Bahrain’s treaty practice. Saad is a Qualified Sole Mediator and Arbitrator and is listed at the Ministry of Justice, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and International Bar Association, and a member of the Legal Affairs Committee at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
