Dimitri de Bournonville has close to 30 years of experience in the aviation, transportation, commercial and insurance sectors. Dimitri has been admitted to practice in Belgium in 1995, after studies at Université Libre de Bruxelles (Licence en droit 1994, with magna cum laude) and King’s College London (LL.M. 1995 in Commercial and Corporate Law). He worked as an attorney at the Brussels Bar (from 1995 to 2003) as one of the closest associates and (non-equity) partner of Xavier Dieux at Moquet Borde, Dieux & Partners and Willkie Farr & Gallagher, in Brussels and Paris. Dimitri was also a lecturer (assistant chargé d’exercices) at Université Libre de Bruxelles for the courses of Commercial Law and Introduction to Private Law, from 1997 to 2005. Before setting up the firm, Dimitri de Bournonville was (from 2011 to 2024) the managing partner of the Brussels office of one of the prime global law firms active in the insurance, transportation and litigation sector, where he was an active member of the aviation department.
