Gitte Holtsø

Gitte specialises in European competition law, handling high-profile cases and matters involving significant complexity and value. Public procurement law is another area of expertise. She is the head of Plesner's EU and Competition Law team. Gitte has extensive experience in European merger control and other transaction-related competition law issues. She has led some of the most significant merger control investigations involving Danish companies. She is also known for advising clients in investigations by the competition authorities in matters involving alleged anti-competitive behaviour within a wide range of industries. Gitte also specialises in public procurement, advising both contracting authorities and suppliers, often on large-scale infrastructure tenders and tenders within the pharmaceutical industry. She has advised on high-profile procurement processes and complaint cases. Gitte holds a master's degree in law from the University of Copenhagen and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Cambridge. She is a qualified solicitor in the United Kingdom. Gitte Lansner

Gitte is partner in Gorrissen Federspiel's Corporate / M&A practice group and also part of our cross-practice group for Energy & Infrastructure as well as member of our French Desk and Spanish Desk. Gitte renders assistance on a current basis to a wide range of listed and unlisted companies as well as private equity funds, family offices and other investors, primarily in connection with the acquisition and sale of companies and minority investments, entering of shareholders' agreements and other shareholder and corporate law issues. She thus has extensive experience in both large and medium-sized transactions, both inbound and outbound, and in structured sales processes, W&I insured transactions, platform and add-on acquisitions, etc., notably within IT/Tech, Energy/Infrastructure and shipping. Gitte furthermore assists large players in the energy sector, including in connection with acquisitions and minority investments. Gitte has a long-standing background in providing general legal and commercial advice to companies and wide experience in both corporate law matters, including not least PE-owned companies, commercial contracts, supplier and customer relationships and general terms of delivery, as well as general business conditions. Finally, Gitte has experience in criminal matters from her prior work with the Danish Police and Prosecution Service.

Hans Erik Steffensen

Hans Erik Steffensen has considerable experience in advising corporate clients, especially concerning contracts and the negotiation of contracts. Over the years, Hans Erik has become familiar with the construction industry, including the preparation of construction contracts and resolution of the conflicts that may unfortunately arise during a construction process. In addition, he specialised in arbitration and litigation related to real estate, construction law and procurement law. Hans Erik has the right to appear before the Danish Supreme Court and he has years of experience in conducting matters before both arbitral tribunals and the ordinary courts. Hans Erik assists both large and small companies. The cases range from minor arbitration matters to lawsuits involving significant multi-million sums. Additionnaly, Hans Erik has considerable experience in buying and selling companies within the retail trade and the construction industry as well as handling related issues to this. Hans Erik is a member of several company boards and he provides ongoing advice to owner managers. Parallel with his advisory activities, Hans Erik teaches in construction law and he has for several years been associated with Aarhus University as an external lecturer. Hans heads our Corporate Finance team, and in addition to advising on M&A transactions in general, he specialises in advising private equity funds and private equity owned businesses. Hans has extensive experience from more than 25 years as a partner in our Corporate Finance team and has been involved in more than 100 transactions, both in Denmark and abroad - but always with an international angle to the transaction. A number of Hans' private equity clients has had a buy and build strategy which, in addition to the core M&A advice, has also required extensive advice on corporate and contract law as well as incentive programmes and shareholder agreements. The many transactions have covered a vast number of sectors, including industrial, retail, it, life science, shipping, financial institutions and automotive. Hans-Peter Jørgensen advises Gorrissen Federspiel's Danish and foreign clients on all aspects of conveyancing and lease of real property, construction and consultancy law, project development and procurement law. Moreover, Hans-Peter is a frequent lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, the Association of Danish Law Firms as well as the Building and Construction Arbitration Board, and he has issued a number of legal publications. Helle Lorentsen Bøgeskov

Associated partner, attorney Helle Lorentsen Bøgeskov is a specialist in procurement and construction. She provides legal advice to utility and infrastructure companies as well as public authorities on all matters relating to the tendering and execution stages – often in relation to calls for tenders for large-scale construction or renovation projects in a broad range of utility areas and in the social housing sector. Helle has extensive experience in providing strategic advice on the drafting of tenders and the execution of the tender process from start to finish, as well as the preparation and negotiation of contracts and framework agreements. She also provides advice on the rules governing the duty of local authorities to invite tenders for waste suitable for incineration. Helle has long-standing experience in providing advice on tendering and construction law in a number of utility areas, particularly in the fields of district heating, water supply and treatment (drinking water and waste water) and waste incineration, as well as generation and distribution of natural gas and power. In 2024, Helle assisted the Copenhagen Metro and Copenhagen Light Rail in preparing their ’second generation’ social clauses. Helle also har particular experience on tendering and construction law within the social housing sector. Likewise, acting as legal sub-consultant to NIRAS in 2024, Helle provided the legal background analysis forming the basis for the Danish Utility Regulator's guidance on competition-enhancing measures and the new rules on competitive tendering for incinerable waste (Act No. 745 of 13 June 2013). Based on this, she has advised a number of local authorities and municipal waste-to-energy companies on structuring procurement processes in accordance with the new rules.

Henriette Soja has been specialising in environmental law for many years and is among the leading attorneys in Denmark within this area of the law. She has thus advised in many leading cases within the areas of environmental, planning and construction law and has conducted negotiations and a large number of cases of general public importance within all the areas which are traditionally handled by the municipal technical administration and the municipal supply sector. Henriette has many years' experience in environmental due diligence projects, compliance programmes and risk management in private enterprises. She has represented municipalities and private enterprises in some of the largest environmental and construction cases in recent years and has carried out legal investigations within the areas of environmental, planning and construction law. Henriette teaches on the assistant attorney programme and the special environmental law programme under Local Government Denmark (LGDK).
