Riccardo Lonardi is a Director of PwC Legal & Tax Italy. He has over 14 years of experience in M&A, private equity and venture capital, advising on complex transactions across the middle market and cross-border landscape. Riccardo provides comprehensive legal support on buy-side and sell-side transactions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams on both domestic and international deals. His sector expertise spans industrial, consultancy, and transport/logistics. Riccardo regularly advises lenders, financial sponsors, private debt and distressed-funds in lending and bond transactions (both cross-border and domestic) and investors in the structuring and execution of acquisitions of single name NPLs and UTPs, debt-to-own and debt restructurings (concordati preventivi, restructuring agreements and out-of-court arrangements) also in the context of distressed M&A transactions related to industrial and real estate assets. Riccardo has also a strong expertise in green and sustainable finance, where he advises clients on ESG due diligence aspects and methodologies, green and sustainable financial and banking products (under international standards as well as aligned with the EU Taxonomy) and on social and governance best practices.
